What we collect

Workers: first name, phone number, optional email, optional photo, nationality, year of birth, city, work preferences, experience and skills — the information you choose to put on your profile. We deliberately collect no more than the profile needs: no surnames, no addresses, no identity or immigration documents. We also record how you first reached the site — for example a search engine, a Facebook link, or a referral link we gave a partner — so we can tell which channels actually help helpers find us. This is never shown on your public profile. We use your phone number and, if you gave one, your email address to send you service messages such as login codes and a notice when a family posts a new job in your city — you can tell us at any time if you would rather not receive them. We also record which job posts you respond to and any note you add, so the family who posted the job can see your response. If a family opens a conversation with you on the site, we store the messages you both send. They are visible to you, to that family, and to us if we need to look into a report or keep the site safe. We may text or email you once to say a new message is waiting. Messages are deleted when either account is deleted.

Families: first name, email, city, and payment records if you purchase access (payments are processed by Stripe — we never see your card details). We also record which helper profiles you request contact details for, so we can understand whether the site is working and occasionally ask you how it went. We record which helpers responded to your jobs, when you opened those responses and which contact details you revealed, so we can show you your responses and send you the notification emails about your jobs. As with helpers, we record how you first reached the site — for example a search engine, a Facebook link, or a referral link we gave a partner — so we can tell which channels actually bring families here. This is never shown to anyone else. If you message a helper on the site, we store the conversation; it is visible to you, to that helper, and to us if we need to look into a report or keep the site safe, and we may email you once when a helper replies. Messages are deleted when either account is deleted. We occasionally send families a service email — for example that new helpers have joined in your city, or that your contact access has ended — and every one of those carries an unsubscribe link you can use at any time.

How it's used

Worker profile information is displayed publicly so families can find you. Your phone number and email are not public — they are only shown to signed-in family accounts (and only to paying accounts when the unlock system is active). We use your contact details to operate the site (e.g. login codes, service messages). We do not sell personal data.

Legal basis & consent

We process profile data because you ask us to publish it (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and account data to provide the service (contract, Art. 6(1)(b)). Photos are published only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by removing the photo or deleting your account.

Your rights — including one-click deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your dashboard — the deletion is immediate and permanent (profile, photo, phone number, messages, everything). You also have the right to access, correct and port your data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. EU users are protected by the GDPR; our data is hosted in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany).

Cookies

We always use the cookies necessary to keep you signed in. Only if you accept the cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and a Meta (Facebook) pixel to measure how our Facebook and Instagram ads perform. If you decline, neither is loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
